“I had a sound healing with Jillian and she fixed my left knee glitch pretty well. She gave me valuable personal information that fit with what I know about my life and my body/spirit. Highly recommend giving this a try.” -Nancy Peden, M.A., Monterey, CA
Biofield Tuning can reduce pain, relieve digestive disorders, migraines, vertigo, emotional discord, and other effects of stress. It’s a gentle and non-invasive way to help the body heal itself.
How it Works
- We pass the vibrating tuning forks over your body’s energy field to locate correct distortions.
- Tuning forks modulate the biofield frequency, bringing it back into balance.
- Sessions can be done in a chair or on a massage table and last 30-70 minutes.
Relieve stress and pain, enjoy relaxation, and help your body return to its optimal level of functioning.
Frequently Asked Questions
A unique sound therapy that uses tuning forks to literally tune and restore balance back to the body. The tuning forks are used like sonar to detect and correct distortions in the body’s bio-electromagnetic field, or biofield. Distortions in the biofield can be caused by stress and trauma over a person’s lifetime, which can lead to disorder and a breakdown in function of the body’s systems. We give the body a “tune up,” so to speak. We then see our clients moving forward in life with more ease on every level—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
The sessions usually last 60-75 minutes. Most of the work is done around the body and we also incorporate some use of the tuning forks on the body. Your practitioner will have you lie on a massage table, fully clothed with a pillow under your head and some support under your legs to keep you comfortable. The forks mostly produce a calming tone, but sometimes they will sound distorted. This indicates that there is a distortion in the biofield. The fork will be held in that place until the distortion is resolved.
According to the Biofield Anatomy Hypothesis, developed by sound researcher Eileen McKusick, our biofield contains a record of our life history embedded as information and energy.
Just as our brain is responsible for different functions, so is our biofield, with specific areas holding information related to specific memories and emotions. By following the Biofield Anatomy Map, your practitioner can help you relate any distortion in your field to a particular time in your life where there was increased stress or trauma. By recalling these memories and providing the consistent coherent input of the tuning fork, the distortion settles and coherence and balance are returned to the body.
While we provide a safe space, talking about memories is optional. We leave it up to you whether you want to share your history or not.
“Shamans say that during a traumatic experience, parts of the self get split off and left behind.“ -Eileen McKusick Tuning the Human Biofield
Come in comfortable clothes. You’ll be on a table, no shoes. Come to your session well-hydrated as water has sound-conductive properties. Because we are restoring flow to the body, sometimes a person can have a response that looks like detox. Have some sea salt or epsom salts waiting for you at home to take a salt bath, as soaking your body (or feet) in salt for 20-40 minutes can help to mitigate such a response.
Most people who receive a Biofield Tuning session report feeling lighter. This also leads to a wider aperture of possibility—people start responding to life appropriately, rather than reacting inappropriately from their knee-jerk patterns. They start moving forward in life with more ease and flow. Biofield Tuning has shown to help with symptoms of anxiety, digestive disorders, pain, emotional discord, self-limiting beliefs, and more.
